On June 15, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Danh Thang - Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance - said: "The unit is still implementing the work of reviewing, arranging and arranging working headquarters for departments, branches, commune-level authorities and central agencies located in the area".
According to Mr. Thang, in phase 1, the unit will prioritize the arrangement of headquarters for provincial and commune-level administrative agencies. At the same time, the headquarters of central agencies located in the area will also be studied for arrangement and rearrangement accordingly.
Currently, the district level is also urgently arranging and assigning headquarters to newly established commune-level administrative units, starting to operate from July 1, 2025. Many newly established communes have a sudden increase in the number of cadres, civil servants and public employees, so it is necessary to arrange 2 headquarters to ensure effective operation.
In phase 2, the Department of Finance will continue to review and handle redundant headquarters after implementing the two-level local government model and implementing provincial mergers.
According to research, next week, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance will hold a meeting with the participation of many departments, branches and representatives of districts, towns and cities to discuss the final plan for the arrangement and assignment of working headquarters.
Next, the Department of Finance will invite heads of central agencies located in the area to discuss, in order to agree on a plan to allocate and handle the surplus headquarters appropriately.
Mr. Thang added: The biggest difficulty and obstacle at present is that there are units with excess headquarters, while some agencies are lacking. In the spirit of the direction of the Central Government, the province will arrange full headquarters for departments, branches, commune-level authorities and central agencies located in the area to ensure stable operations and avoid waste.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the total number of houses and land facilities that are working headquarters and career facilities under the management of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee is 2,700.
By the end of April 2025, there were 150 houses and land in the province that were not in use, used inefficiently or used for the wrong purpose. Of these, only 12 facilities have issued a decision to handle the situation but have not yet completed the handling.
The Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant units to inspect the current status and develop a plan to handle unused offices and service establishments.
For establishments operating public services or other public assets subject to handling, relevant units continue to review and develop plans for arrangement and organization of handling.
