Many people often feel dizzy, tired, and even tinnitus after waking up. In this case, gently patting the back of the neck for about a minute can help the body feel better.
The back of the head is where many important acupoints are concentrated. According to traditional medicine, massaging and stimulating these acupoints regularly can help reduce fatigue, limit dizziness, improve hearing and reduce tinnitus. It can be done in three ways:
The first way is to use your palm to gently press on both ears, then use three fingers including the index finger, middle finger and ring finger to gently tap the back of your head. This movement helps stimulate acupoints around the ears, helping to reduce dizziness and tinnitus.
The second way, use your thumb to press on the tip of your fingernail and the remaining fingers.
The third method is to use both palms to seal the outer ear canal, and at the same time use index, middle and acupressure fingers to gently tap into the occipital bone behind the head. Then keep the palm pressed against the ear, fingers gently press on the occipital bone and quickly lift it to create a "click" sound in the ear. Do 5-10 times, 2-3 times a day.
Earplug movements combined with gentle taps are said to help stimulate the ear and brain nerves, support improving hearing, vision and relaxing the body. Exercises can be performed after waking up, before going to bed or in free time. According to traditional medicine, the ears are closely related to the kidneys, so these exercises are also said to help support kidney function and are suitable for the elderly.
