Amidst the widespread heat wave covering many areas across the country, when the temperature at the airport sometimes reaches 70 - 80 degrees Celsius, thousands of aviation industry officials and employees are still on duty to maintain safe and punctual operations during the summer peak season.

In the last days of May, the North and Central regions entered a peak heat wave with many places recording temperatures from 37 - 39 degrees Celsius, with some places exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. At airports, the parking lot surface continuously absorbs heat, plus heat from aircraft engines and service equipment, causing surface temperatures to rise.
Amidst harsh weather conditions, thousands of aviation staff still persistently work to ensure smooth operations.

From early morning to noon, the image of reflective vests continuously moving on the apron has become familiar in many airports across the country. Aircraft technical staff are still diligently checking and maintaining amidst the scorching heat of the apron concrete surface.
From the engine, landing gear, electrical system to every smallest technical detail, every operation requires absolute accuracy to ensure safety for each flight.

In parallel with that, ground service forces also entered the peak period with continuous work intensity. According to Mr. Tran Tuan Nguyen (ground service staff), every day he and his colleagues perform many tasks such as pulling and pushing aircraft, transporting luggage, operating equipment and supporting passengers in harsh weather.
There are times when the field surface is hot, standing outdoors for a few minutes and sweat is already soaking clothes. Despite the hardship, the brothers always encourage each other to try to complete the task because behind them are hundreds of passengers waiting for a safe and on-time flight," Mr. Nguyen shared.

Not only in the parking area, but also in security positions, operating operations, refueling or transporting goods, the pace of work has never "cooled down".
Mr. Pham Duc Minh (technical staff) also said that all technical inspection procedures, fuel supply or equipment monitoring must be carried out absolutely accurately even when working for many hours continuously outdoors in hot weather.
“Just a small mistake can affect the entire flight, so brothers always have to maintain high concentration,” Mr. Minh said.

To support workers during the hot season, many heat protection solutions have been implemented such as supplementing drinking water, arranging reasonable mid-shift breaks, increasing cooling at workplaces and adjusting operating hours appropriately.

Operating units, passenger service and flight operations also continuously coordinate to shorten service time, reduce waiting time and ensure convenient journeys for passengers at airports across the country.
Behind each flight taking off on time is the harmonious coordination of thousands of people silently working behind the runway, towards the common goal of ensuring absolute safety of operation and serving passengers.
