According to a private source of Lao Dong Newspaper, related to the collective poisoning incident after eating banh mi thit cha at a business establishment near Tong market, Dien Ban ward, Da Nang city, there were 14 more cases who had to be hospitalized for treatment at Vinh Duc General Hospital.
Previously, Quang Nam Regional General Hospital received and treated 43 patients with symptoms of food poisoning after eating banh mi thit cha at the same facility. Among these, there were 22 children.
Thus, as of the update time, the banh mi poisoning case in Dien Ban ward has recorded 57 patients who had to be hospitalized for treatment at two medical facilities.

Patients were hospitalized with symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, vomiting and diarrhea many times. Through initial epidemiological exploitation, these people all had eaten bread with meat and sausage on the morning of June 13. In just a few hours, many cases showed abnormal symptoms and had to go to medical facilities for emergency treatment.
To date, the health status of 57 patients is basically stable, no cases of adverse developments have been recorded. Many people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment and monitoring.
Functional agencies temporarily closed the bread shop to inspect, trace the origin of raw materials, take food samples and clarify the cause of the collective poisoning.
