On October 25, Quang Tri General Hospital confirmed that after 3 weeks of treatment at the hospital, patient H.V.D (17 years old, residing in Ben Quan commune, Quang Tri) was seriously injured after the accident and was discharged from the hospital.
Previously, on the evening of September 30, H.V.D had a traffic accident and was taken to the Quang Tri General Hospital for emergency treatment in a state of multiple injuries: covered right thigh bone, open fracture of the two bones of the right leg, cold, purple feet, peripheral artery loss and continuous bleeding wound on the right hand.
Through examination, the doctor discovered that the lower limb blood vessels lost signal to the coronary artery and the preeclampsia artery, predicting a high risk of amputation and poisoning throughout the body due to prolonged amniocrates.
The patient was given emergency care and then resuscitated by doctors and nurses of the Department for active anti-poisoning and anti-trauma - burns in an emergency consultation, with the first surgery taking over 4 hours.
After that, the team decided to perform a vascular bridge surgery to restore flow to the lower limb.
The doctors took a 40cm long left leg vein to make a bridge, replacing the damaged artery, re-comparting blood from the thighs to the calves and were successful.
After surgery, the patient's feet were warm, felt and moved, and after 3 weeks of treatment, he was discharged from the hospital.
