At about 6 pm on December 27, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital promptly received and organized emergency care for the victims in the passenger car overturning incident that occurred in Lao Cai.
According to initial information, the crashed car carrying the charity delegation moved from Hanoi to Ta Genh school (Hoa Mi Kindergarten), belonging to Phinh Ho commune, Lao Cai province. Immediately after receiving the information, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital activated the emergency reception process, mobilized personnel and specialized vehicles for urgent handling.
The victims were comprehensively examined, assessed the extent of injuries and treated for emergency treatment promptly according to professional protocol. Currently, the initial condition of the patients has been initially stabilized, but close monitoring is still needed.
Emergency and treatment work is being urgently deployed, medical teams are on duty to ensure timely handling in case of abnormal developments. The hospital is closely coordinating with functional agencies and victims' families to provide maximum support during treatment.

The accident occurred at Km35 of the road connecting National Highway 32 with Provincial Road 174, passing through Mu Thap village, Phinh Ho commune. The 29-seater passenger car in the process of moving collided with the guardrail for about 50 m, then overturned on the side of the road, the vehicle was heavily damaged.
At the time of the accident, the car was carrying a charity delegation departing from Hanoi, heading towards Ta Genh village school belonging to Hoa Mi Kindergarten. The consequence was 9 deaths, 9 injuries, and the car was seriously deformed after a strong collision.
Immediately after the incident, functional forces quickly approached the scene, took the victims out of the car, organized first aid and transferred the injured to medical centers and hospitals for treatment. According to initial reports, the cause may be that the car suddenly lost its brakes when going downhill, but it is still being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
At the scene, the 29-seater car overturned, with many debris scattered on the road surface. The injured people, aged 22 to 44, were stably resuscitated and are expected to be transferred to hospitals in Hanoi in the afternoon of the same day for further treatment.
