On December 4, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety informed about the incident related to the Ms. Bich toad bread establishment (Nguyen Thai Son street, Hanh Thong ward), the unit concluded that this was a food poisoning case.
The unit has issued a document requesting 16 relevant medical examination and treatment facilities to confirm the health effects of patients affected by food poisoning in the incident, as a basis for completing the dossier to handle administrative violations for the facility causing food poisoning according to the provisions of law.

According to the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City, recently, there have been a number of food poisoning cases in the city. The unit has coordinated with functional agencies and People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones to carry out many actions to strengthen food safety in the area.
In particular, strengthening training on food safety knowledge for food service businesses, collective kitchens in schools, industrial parks, hospitals, and charity kitchens.
At the same time, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety issued an official dispatch on strengthening food poisoning prevention, controlling the origin and ensuring food safety in the area.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety emphasized that to overcome the situation, there needs to be close coordination and synchronous implementation by competent authorities in propagating, inspecting and supervising food safety; strict compliance with legal regulations on food safety of production and business establishments; the role of consumers in choosing and using food.
The incident was reported on November 7, many people suspected of being poisoned after eating bread at the No Bich toad bread establishment (112A Nguyen Thai Son Street, Hanh Thong Ward). As a result, as of November 13, 316 cases of suspected food poisoning symptoms were recorded after eating bread from this establishment.
