Regarding the recent suspected bread poisoning incident after eating bread at the Banh Da Bich restaurant, on November 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety informed that, based on the results of the epidemiological investigation, analysis data, product testing results and professional opinions from the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Public Health, the Department of Health and hospitals and units, this was a food poisoning case caused by the Ms. Bich bread establishment with the food causing the disease, which was bread. The incident was reported on November 7, many people suspected of being poisoned after eating bread at the No Bich toad bread establishment (112A Nguyen Thai Son Street, Hanh Thong Ward). The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety has coordinated with the Department of Health, the People's Committee of Hanh Thong Ward and medical examination and treatment facilities to immediately deploy the work of verifying, investigating the cause and handling the incident.
From the afternoon of November 7 to November 12, the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City conducted an epidemiological investigation of cases at hospitals: Military Hospital 175, Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Tam Anh General Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City, Becamex International General Hospital. At the same time, synthesize information on cases through the Department of Medicine - Department of Health, reports from medical facilities that receive patients suspected of food poisoning.
As a result, as of November 13, 316 cases of suspected food poisoning symptoms were recorded after eating bread from the above establishment.
In parallel with the investigation of epidemics, the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City collected samples of food ingredients and sent them for testing to find the cause of food poisoning. Investigation of food processing and trading conditions at 112A Nguyen Thai Son facility.
