According to the Hue City Department of Health, in 2025, the main health indicators continued to meet and exceed the plan. The bed occupancy rate reached 61 beds/10,000 people, the doctor occupancy rate reached 15.4 doctors/10,000 people, and the health insurance coverage rate reached 98.93%.
Preventive medicine and disease prevention and control work is proactively implemented, effectively controlling outbreaks, and preventing major epidemics from occurring. The rate of full vaccination for children under 1 year old is maintained at over 95%, ensuring community safety.
The quality of medical examination and treatment has been gradually improved; many new techniques have been deployed at medical facilities, contributing to reducing overload at the upper levels. Administrative reform and digital transformation of healthcare have made important progress, gradually forming a digital healthcare platform.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang - Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee emphasized that in 2026, the health sector needs to focus on effectively implementing resolutions and action programs of the Central Government and the city; promote digital transformation, putting people at the center of service; pay attention to training and attracting high-quality medical personnel, strengthening discipline and professional ethics.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Kiem Hao - Director of Hue City Department of Health, 2026 is an important year in implementing the goals for the period 2025 - 2030, the health sector will continue to improve management efficiency, focus on preventive medicine, ensure food safety and improve the quality of people's health care.
