In the hot weather of June, we went to Ma Quan hamlet, Nuoc Hai town (old Be Trieu commune), Hoa An district to meet Ly Minh Quan. This year, Quan has just completed his primary school program, but unfortunate circumstances have surrounded him in small roles for a long time.
According to Mrs. Ly Thi Mieu ( Quan's biological father), Quan's father was the only son in the family, he got married and had a daughter and Quan. The family still has many difficulties but still lives happily together.
However, the joy was short-lived, in 2019 a traffic accident took away his father and a pillar of the family. Not long after his father passed away, his biological mother also left home to live in a miserable house, and since then, Quan has grown up in the arms of relatives.
"At first, Quan lived with his grandmother, but she was poor-view and later died, Quan came here to live with my wife and I. My two younger sisters and I collect money to raise our child every month," said Ms. Mieu.
Throughout the conversation, Quan always had many emotions every time he mentioned his mother, who had left him for many years and had not returned to meet him once.
"My father passed away in 2019, and just a few months later, Quan's mother left, now that my husband and I are old and unable to raise him until he grew up, the family wants to take him to the Social Protection Center so that his education can be guaranteed" - Ms. Mieu shared.
However, when asked if we wanted to go to the Protection Center? Quan's answer surprised adults.
"I want to stay with my grandfather so that when I come back here to find my child, my mother and I are named Ly Phuong Thao" - Quan said while bowing his face.
As soon as they talked, Ms. Mieu took the reporter to the house where Quan's family used to live (the house is currently closed because Quan cannot be made by himself). The level 4 house is currently seriously degraded, in addition to the new corrugated iron roof that has been repaired by the housewives, cracks in the leaning wall appear everywhere.

Returning to his home, Quan always wanted to stay longer, staying as if searching for photos of relatives when his family was still large enough.
Talking with reporters, Ms. Duong Thi Loan - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nuoc Hai town confirmed Quan's situation and said that Quan's family had previously sent petitions to the Commune People's Committee to express their desire to help the locality pay attention to this case.
"Currently in the period of administrative unit rearrangement, after July 1, when the new commune was established, in the case of the young soldiers, we will remind the Fatherland Front of the new commune to pay attention and help more" - Ms. Loan informed.
