Male student Le Van Phuc (born in 2008, residing in Dan Hai commune, Ha Tinh province) is currently being treated at the Ophthalmology Department, Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital, with particularly difficult circumstances.
At the age of 18, the most beautiful age with many dreams ahead, but Phuc has to face many tragedies of life.
According to information from the hospital, when admitted to the hospital, Phuc was completely blind in one eye, no longer able to be cured. His other eye is also experiencing severe vision loss.
Phuc's tragedy began when he was not yet born. When he was about two weeks pregnant, his mother unfortunately had a serious accident leading to a skull fracture and had to undergo emergency surgery. After that, Phuc was born with a congenital eye disease.

Despite facing many disadvantages in health and vision, Phuc still strives to integrate into life and continue his studies.
He is currently a 12th grade student. However, due to very poor eyesight, Phuc can hardly see the letters or boards in class, and can mainly only listen to lectures.
“I can only listen to teachers lecture. Every day when I go to school, friends support and help me take me to school,” Phuc shared with reporters.
The male student's family circumstances are also extremely difficult. His mother suffered serious health effects after the accident, almost losing her ability to work.
All economic burdens in the family are placed on the shoulders of his father, Mr. Le Van Huynh, who is currently a construction worker with unstable income.
Faced with Phuc's situation, the school has also created conditions to support him. He was exempted from tuition fees and received help from teachers and friends so that he could continue to go to class.
Talking to Lao Dong about this case, Ms. Phan Thi Hieu, Deputy Head of the Social Work Department, Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital, said that patient Phuc was diagnosed with serious eye diseases such as scarring and corneal opacity, blindness and atrial fibrillation.
Currently, Phuc's remaining vision is only about 1/10 and tends to continue to decrease. Meanwhile, one eye is completely blind and cannot be treated," Ms. Hieu said.
With particularly difficult family circumstances, long-term treatment and care for Phuc is a heavy burden for the family.
The Social Work Department, Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital, hopes to receive attention and help from organizations, individuals and philanthropists to add hope for the male student in the journey to keep the light for the future.
