Towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on July 14, at the headquarters of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, the Golden Heart Fund of Labor presented 50 gifts, worth a total of 500 million VND, to families of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Se (71 years old, residing in Buon Ma Thuot ward) participated in the resistance war against the US for national salvation and the war to protect the Fatherland, and performed international duties in Cambodia. In 1981, while on duty, he was unfortunately hit by a mine, had to have one leg amputated and underwent a severe abdominal surgery. More than 40 years have passed, war wounds still torment him whenever the weather changes. Mr. Se and his wife have to try very hard to work and raise 3 children to adulthood.

Moved when receiving a gift from the Golden Heart Fund of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Se shared: "Being able to receive a gift right on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, I am very touched. The gift is not only materially meaningful but also a tribute and encouragement for us to continue living optimistically, educating our children and grandchildren to preserve the tradition of patriotism.
What we appreciate most is the concern and sharing of agencies, units and the community with those who have dedicated a part of their youth and blood to the Fatherland".
Similarly, Mr. Tran Van Tin (79 years old, residing in Buon Ma Thuot ward) was injured while participating in the anti-American resistance war for national salvation. The wounds in the head, face and hand have left sequelae, and he is currently receiving war invalid benefits.
Today's gift is not only material aid but also a great source of spiritual encouragement for us. What moves me the most is that after so many years of war, wounded soldiers and families of martyrs are still always cared for and remembered by society.
That is an extremely precious gratitude, adding motivation for us to live happily, live healthily, and continue to educate our children and grandchildren to preserve the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", Mr. Tin confided.

Leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Department of Home Affairs thanked the Golden Heart Fund for always accompanying social security work, especially activities to show gratitude to people with meritorious services to the revolution, and at the same time wished that these meaningful programs would continue to be maintained and spread so that more and more policy circumstances would be concerned and shared.
