On January 25, the Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that Provincial Chairman Tran Phong has directed localities, agencies, and units to focus on preparing and organizing the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year to ensure safety, economy, and health.
According to the direction, localities must deploy tasks in accordance with their functions and authority. Focus on implementing key tasks according to the directives of the Secretariat and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
In which, prioritize overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and storms; urgently repair and build new houses and essential public works damaged, ensuring that people have safe and stable accommodation to celebrate Tet.
Cadres, civil servants, and public employees must strictly implement the responsibility of setting an example in building a civilized lifestyle, especially not driving vehicles when using alcohol or beer; not participating in or promoting superstitious activities or social evils.
The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also requested to strengthen market inspection and supervision; ensure supply and demand balance of goods and services, stabilize prices; pay attention to food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation and disease prevention and control during Tet.
Departments, branches, and localities need to proactively develop plans, assign Tet duty; regularly grasp the situation, promptly handle arising issues; fully implement the information and reporting regime daily and throughout the Tet holiday according to regulations.
Also on January 25, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (a resident of Nha Trang ward) said that he had grasped the direction of the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
Accordingly, Mr. Hoa completely agreed with the province's policy in requiring officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers to strictly implement the responsibility of setting an example during Tet.
Mr. Hoa said that officials are people who directly enforce the law, if they set a good example, people will follow suit. Not driving after drinking alcohol or not participating in superstition or social evils is not only a regulation but also reflects awareness and culture of behavior in society.
I think that when cadres are exemplary, the situation of traffic violations, superstitious gatherings or social evils during Tet will also decrease significantly. Thereby, contributing to making people celebrate Tet safer and more civilized," Mr. Hoa added.
