The support of Lao Dong Newspaper readers not only helps the female student's family reduce difficulties after the natural disaster, but also adds steadfast faith to go to school.

On June 1st, representatives of the Golden Heart Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper and Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union (Lao Cai province) visited, encouraged and presented the amount of 4,657,660 VND to the family of Tong Thuy Dan and Tong Hao Y, residing in Na Ban residential group, Cau Thia ward.

Tong Thuy Dan has been an excellent student for 9 consecutive years. In the 2024-2025 school year, she won the Third Prize in the Natural Sciences subject at the town level.

His father is currently serving a prison sentence. All family burdens fall on the shoulders of his mother Dong Thi Thanh (born in 1980) who has been suffering from thalassemia for many years. Tong Hao Y - Dan's younger brother - who is in 2nd grade, also suffers from this terrible disease.

Every month, the two mothers and daughters have to go to the hospital for periodic blood transfusions to maintain life. Prolonged hospital trips along with drug and travel expenses have eroded the family, which only relied on a few acres of rice fields.

In March 2026, a thunderstorm occurred in the area, sweeping away the entire roof of the family's house, making life, which was already deprived, even more difficult.

After Lao Dong Newspaper published the article: LD26103: Poor female students at risk of dropping out of school due to house collapse, sick mother, blood transfusion baby, many readers have paid attention and shared with the Dan sisters.

The dilapidated house of the 3 mothers and children is also being rebuilt thanks to the State's support of 60 million VND. In addition, Agribank Nghia Lo also donated 10 million VND to help Ms. Thanh's family overcome immediate difficulties.

At the gift-giving ceremony, representatives of the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union cordially inquired and encouraged the family to strive to overcome immediate difficulties, and at the same time wished the children to continue to strive to study and nurture dreams of a better future.

On behalf of the family, Tong Thuy Dan expressed her emotion and sent thanks to the Golden Heart Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper, Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union and the school for their concern, connection, and timely support.

We will try to study really well so as not to disappoint everyone," the 9th-grade female student expressed.

We greatly appreciate the companionship of the Golden Heart Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper for promptly sharing with the family.

The gift is a practical source of encouragement, helping them have more strength to overcome difficulties, continue to go to school and pursue their dreams of studying.

According to Ms. Vuong Thi Anh, in the coming time, Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union will continue to coordinate with local authorities, schools and philanthropists to care for and support the house of Ms. Dong Thi Thanh's family to be completed soon.
