Yen Bai has just experienced a historic flood with heavy destruction that left 54 people dead and missing. The natural disaster left more than 10 children without a father or mother, including 3 children who lost both their parents.
Promoting the tradition of solidarity, "mutual love and support", sharing difficulties and losses with people in flood-affected areas, Thanh Cong International Education Development Cooperation Joint Stock Company (Nghe An) cooperated with the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper to provide support to a number of orphan families in Yen Bai.
On October 17, in Bao Dap commune, Tran Yen district, Thanh Cong International Education Development Cooperation Joint Stock Company (Nghe An) presented 10 million VND in support to the family of Nguyen Hong Phuc whose father died due to a landslide and house collapse.
The family is in a difficult situation in the commune. Ms. Do Thi Tham (Phuc's mother) works on the fields to raise her two children and send them to school. Her brother-in-law is severely disabled and is no longer able to work.
"I don't know what to say other than to thank the Golden Heart Fund and Thanh Cong International Education Development Cooperation Joint Stock Company for their care and support for my family. Now, I just hope to have a house to stabilize my life, my children have a place to eat and sleep, and life will soon return to normal," Ms. Tham said, tears welling up in her eyes.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Phan Dinh Khoa - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Thanh Cong International Education Development Cooperation Joint Stock Company said that witnessing the huge loss of life and property, we can understand more deeply the pain that our compatriots have to endure.
"Although the gifts we bring are only small support, we hope that they will be a source of spiritual encouragement to help Ms. Tham overcome this difficult period, stabilize her life and become a support for her children," said Mr. Phan Dinh Khoa.
Also on the same day, the delegation presented 7 million VND to the family of 3 children who lost their parents in the article: 3 bewildered children next to the portrait of their parents after the flood, currently living with their grandmother Nguyen Thi Phong (61 years old) in Phuong Dao commune, Tran Yen district.
The landslide on September 11 killed Ms. Phong's son, Vu Duc N (32 years old) and daughter-in-law Ho Thi D (29 years old).
Currently, the three children Vu Quoc Bao (12 years old), Vu Quoc Viet (10 years old) and Vu Quynh Mai (5 years old) are being taken care of by their grandmother.
