The Golden Heart Social Fund in collaboration with Royal Distribution Company (Hanoi) visited and provided support to many people in difficult circumstances due to floods in Yen Bai.

On September 18, at the headquarters of the Yen Bai Provincial Federation of Labor, the delegation visited and supported 10 million VND to the family of Mr. Trieu Quy Duong - a driver of the Provincial Federation of Labor - whose house in Yen Ninh ward, Yen Bai city was completely collapsed due to storms and floods.

At the time of the heavy rain and landslide, Mr. Duong and his family only had time to escape, most of their belongings were buried and damaged under the rubble. Currently, the family of four is having to stay in an old apartment building.

The delegation also presented 10 million VND in support to Ms. Do Thi Quynh Giang - an officer of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation - who lost her house due to the impact of storm No. 3.

In 2019, Ms. Giang's life entered a difficult period. Her youngest son, Nguyen Vu, now 11 years old, has leukemia and has been hospitalized for 5 years. Not only does she have to worry about Vu, she also has to worry about the education of her eldest son, Nguyen Viet Dung (15 years old).

Pain upon pain, a year ago, Ms. Giang received the news that her biological father passed away from cancer. Then just a few months later, she received the bad news that she had breast cancer.

The adversity did not stop there. After the chemotherapy, her body was still tired and had not yet recovered when storm number 3 hit Yen Bai city, destroying the small home of a mother and her three children in Yen Ninh ward.

Looking at the scene of the devastated and ruined house, the woman choked up: "When the water rose, the house was destroyed by the flood, my three children and I had to stay at my grandmother's house, a few days later, this side was also heavily flooded. The whole family is staying at the Labor Union Guest House."

Also on September 18, the Golden Heart Social Fund and Royal Distribution Company visited and presented 10 million VND in support to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong (61 years old) in Phuong Dao commune, Tran Yen district.

Previously, the landslide on September 11 killed Ms. Phong's son, Vu Duc N (32 years old) and daughter-in-law Ho Thi D (29 years old).

Currently, the three children Vu Quoc Bao (12 years old), Vu Quoc Viet (10 years old) and Vu Quynh Mai (5 years old) are being taken care of by their grandmother.

Since her parents passed away, every day, Vu Quynh Mai has been hanging around her grandmother: "Where have you been? Why haven't you come back yet?". Seeing her granddaughter still too young to understand the loss, Mrs. Phong could only comfort her and distract her with other stories.

Older than him, Vu Quoc Bao, as if he knew his parents would never return, sat in a corner, absent-minded, not answering any questions. The warm house where they used to play has now turned into rubble, the loving embrace of their parents is now just a memory. The lives of Bao and his two siblings have changed forever after the terrible landslide.
