The Vietnam Tennis Federation decided to award tennis player Tran Thuy Thanh Truc a place to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. She just won the women's singles championship at the 2025 National Tennis Tournament. This tennis player is currently holding 3rd place on the individual women's rankings of the Vietnam Tennis Federation announced in October 2025.
Tran Thuy Thanh Truc did not participate in the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 in Cambodia. However, after 2 years, this tennis player still achieved good form and competition results to continue to return to the Vietnam Tennis Team.
Thanh Truc competed and won the women's doubles medal at the 30th SEA Games in 2019 in the Philippines, and the women's team silver medal at the 31st SEA Games in 2022 in Vietnam.
Currently, she is studying abroad. Therefore, Thanh Truc must arrange an appropriate time to ensure her expertise with the Vietnam Tennis Team.
The 33rd SEA Games tennis tournament only allows countries to register a maximum of 5 male and 5 female athletes. Tran Thuy Thanh Truc is good at competing in singles and doubles. Therefore, the coaching staff will prepare her professionally to achieve the best form in Thailand.
The goal of the Vietnam Tennis Team is to win a medal at the 33rd SEA Games. After the 2025 National Championship, the Vietnam Tennis Federation and the tennis department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) have completed the construction of a force of athletes to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
