Pre-match information
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz face off in the Roland Garros final. This was Sinner's first time competing in the championship of an clay tournament.
In the past, the two players have met many times, most recently in the ATP Masters 1000 final in Rome. The Spaniard has won four consecutive games against Sinner, with a win ratio of 7-4. Last year, on clay in Paris, Alcaraz beat Sinner in the semi-final.
Sinner is currently the world No. 1 tennis player, but has not won any Roland Garros title. If he beats No. 2 Alcaraz in the final, the Italian star will widen the gap to a whopping 3,430 points.
If Alcaraz wins and wins his 5th Grand Slam career, he will narrow the gap with his opponent to 2,030 points. This is a great opportunity for Alcaraz to catch up with Sinner in the second half of the 2025 season.
