Due to the impact of heavy rain on the evening of June 20 and the morning of June 21, at Km76+690 on National Highway 4D through Chu Va 12 village, Son Binh commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province, serious landslides occurred on both the positive and negative slopes.
The scene was at risk of a road outage, seriously threatening traffic safety.
In order to ensure the safety of people and vehicles, the Department of Construction of Lai Chau province has announced the temporary organization of traffic diversion.
Accordingly, from 6:00 p.m. on June 21, all vehicles, trucks and passenger cars are prohibited from traveling through the landslide location at Km76+690/National Highway 4D. Only cars and motorbikes are allowed to pass, under the guidance of the authorities.
Vehicles traveling from Lai Chau City to Lao Cai will turn at Km64+500/National Highway 4D (inter-sectoral intersection), follow National Highway 32 to Km351+500 (Doi 9 intersection, Phuc Than commune, Than Uyen district), then turn left in the direction of Van Ban. The opposite route is applied similarly.



Vehicles traveling from Lai Chau City to Hanoi are also guided to follow National Highway 32 through Than Uyen, Mu Cang Chai, Nghia Lo, Thanh Son...
Lai Chau Bridge and Road 3 Joint Stock Company is assigned to coordinate with local authorities and related units to organize forces to be on duty, guide and regulate traffic.
At the same time, the traffic signs must be completed before 9:00 a.m. on June 22.
The traffic diversion will continue until further notice. Vehicles and people need to proactively monitor information and strictly follow the instructions of the authorities to ensure safety.
