1. Monitoring blood pressure (Blood Pressure Monitoring)
One of the biggest upgrades is the blood pressure measurement feature, expected to appear on new Apple Watch lines such as the Series 11 and Ultra 3.
This system does not provide specific blood pressure measurements, but instead will issue warnings when blood pressure shows unusually high signs.
This feature is designed as a trend tracking tool, not a replacement for specialized medical equipment.
2. Apple Intelligence Artificial Intelligence
WatchOS 12 will exploit the power of Apple's new AI platform - Apple Intelligence, which helps process information more intelligently through connecting to the iPhone.
Some outstanding AI features include: notification summary, smart focus mode, and Genmoji - an AI-generated emojis.
Note: Due to hardware limitations, AI features will not process directly on Apple Watch, but need to go through Apple Intelligence-powered iPhones.
3. Live Captions feature
Live captions will also be available on watchOS 12, allowing real-time recordings of the audio playing on the iPhone to be displayed, which is helpful for deaf people or in noisy environments.
