According to Today Online, on November 17, 2019, at Phra Pradaeng police station, woman Pornthida Chamnanwet (23 years old) filed a complaint against her husband for fleeing with the first prize lottery ticket.
She and her husband Wijak Wannaprasit (34 years old), both at the same company in Bangkok.
On November 9, they went to buy 2 lottery tickets together. One of them, chosen by her with the code 017223, won first prize worth 6 million Baht.
Phra Pradaeng Police Station has recognized this result. The wife was also photographed and signed a lottery ticket, police officer Pornthida said. After that, they returned to the rented house in Suk Sawat.
They agreed to divide the prize money into 2 equal parts and also plan what to do with the money divided, the wife shared.
Police said that on the morning of November 17, the husband said she had only received 2 million Baht from that prize money. She asked him why he was like that. After that, the two argue. The husband demanded to go to court to divide the money and he took the ticket to go immediately.
She asked the police to stop him from withdrawing cash and also informed the government lottery office about blocking cash payments.
