At a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Ukraine, Russia's Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, made serious allegations against the Kiev government and President Volodymyr Zelensky, TASS reported.
Nebenzya said Ukraine was facing the risk of complete failure after losing millions of citizens since the conflict began. He stressed that President Zelensky is receiving orders from European donors to continue the conflict "until the last of the Ukrainians".
The Russian ambassador said that it was external pressure that forced the Kiev government to increase the recruitment of Ukrainian men to the front line.
Mr. Nebenzya's speech reflected Moscow's tough stance on the escalating conflict in Ukraine, and expressed criticism of the role of European countries in supporting the Kiev government.
The above comments were made in the context of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine showing no signs of cooling down. While Kiev has received support from European countries, Moscow has repeatedly accused the West of escalating the conflict by promoting Ukraine's fight despite heavy losses.
