On the evening of March 16 (local time), the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel sent a notice to the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in this country about the update of the new civil defense policy of the Internal Front Command of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
According to the announcement, the new civil defense policy is applied nationwide from 8:00 PM on March 16 to 8:00 PM on March 18, with different levels depending on the region.
In many areas of northern and central Israel - such as the northern border, the Golan Heights, Upper Galilee, the Northern Valleys, Haifa Bay, Carmel, Menashe, Wadi Ara, Sharon, Tel Aviv urban area and its vicinity, Yarkon, Shephelah, Jerusalem, Shephelah Judea, Lachish, Negev center and Eilat - continue to apply "limited operation" levels.
Accordingly, people are allowed to gather up to 50 people at locations where they can access standard shelters within the prescribed time when warnings are issued; do not organize educational activities; workplaces are allowed to operate if they ensure access to shelters; beaches continue to be closed to the public.
Meanwhile, in some other areas such as the Southern Golan (except Katzrin and Kedmat Zvi), Lower and Central Galilee, some areas and territories belonging to Sharon, Jerusalem, Shephelah Judea (except Beit Shemesh) and Lachish, the policy was partially eased.
Some educational activities, especially special education, can be organized at facilities with standard shelters, according to the guidance of the Israeli Ministry of Education.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel recommends that the Vietnamese community continue to closely monitor the announcements and instructions of the IDF Internal Front Command, proactively grasp the location of shelters near residences and workplaces, remain calm, comply with local authorities' regulations and quickly move to shelters when security warnings are issued.
