Talking to the press about the important results of the visit, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that in just 72 hours, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a tight working schedule, with nearly 30 activities, including talks, meetings, and exchanges of opinions with all the highest-ranking leaders of Russia, including President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Senate President Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and Secretary of the Security Council Sergey Shoigu; visiting and working at leading economic, scientific and educational institutions of Russia; attending the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum and meeting with many leading businesses of the Russian Federation. The Prime Minister also spent time meeting and expressing gratitude to many traditional friends and overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in the host country.
Through talks and meetings with Russian leaders, the two sides reached a very high consensus on the need to further deepen political trust and mutual understanding between the two countries and two peoples based on the existing traditional friendly relations.
At the exchanges, senior Russian leaders, representatives of parties in the Russian State Duma, and representatives of leading Russian corporations and businesses all affirmed their support for promoting the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, cooperation, stability and development in the region and in the world.
The two sides have approved and signed many agreements related to fields suitable to Vietnam's needs and development goals in the new era such as nuclear energy, using nuclear power for peaceful purposes; strengthening oil and gas exploitation on each other's territory; connecting transportation; cooperating in developing subways, a field in which Russia has great strengths in both technology and experience. The signing of the agreement to build Ninh Thuan 1 Nuclear Power Plant is a historical event. This will be a new symbolic work for Vietnam - Russia relations in the future such as the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant friendship monuments, Thang Long Bridge... before.
Through working sessions with educational and training institutions, scientific research, the two countries also determined to promote cooperation in the field of basic research, training high-quality human resources, especially in the fields of digital technology, new technologies, biomedicine, transportation, basic sciences, academic arts... With the goal of developing a country quickly, strongly, sustainably, taking science - technology and innovation as the central driving force for Vietnam's rapid and sustainable development, Russia will continue to be a reliable partner accompanying Vietnam in the new era.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Russian leaders are very interested in supporting strengthening cultural exchanges, regularly organizing cultural days and art performances in each country so that people of the two countries, especially the young generation, understand and become closer to each other. At the same time, they agreed to create maximum conditions for people of the two countries to travel in each country. The two sides acknowledged the bridging role of the Vietnamese community in Russia, as well as businessmen and intellectuals who have been trained and grown up in Russia in bilateral relations. The Russian side affirmed that it will create conditions for people to settle down and integrate, and Vietnamese businesses to invest conveniently, contributing to the traditional friendship between the two countries.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that the visit was very successful, achieving multi-faceted and substantial results, with a hundred-year strategic vision, meeting all set goals and requirements, reflecting the common understanding of the two countries in repositioning and raising the level of Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
