Asma al-Assad began breast cancer treatment in August this year after being diagnosed with an early stage bu bu bu bu bu bu.
On December 4, the first woman in 43 years attended an art performance and took photos at a graduation ceremony for young teachers at Damascus University.
In a rare public event since the announcement of breast cancer treatment information, Ms. Asma al-Assad appeared in an elegant outfit with a scarf covering her head.
In August, Mr. Assad posted a photo on his official Facebook page announcing that his wife had breast cancer.
The state news agency SANA later said that Mr. Assad's wife is being treated at a military hospital in the capital Damascus, Syria.
Asma al-Assad's parents are a cardiologist and diplomat from Homs province, Syria. However, she was born and raised in London before returning to Syria and meeting Mr Assad. The couple has been married for 18 years and has three children, Hafez, Zein and Karim.
