On the evening of September 21, the authorities of Bao Loc city (Lam Dong) were present at Bao Loc pass, km 103 + 800, in Dai Lao commune, to handle a landslide.
Initial information shows that the landslide occurred at around 7 p.m. the same day. At the scene, it was found that rocks and tree roots from the slope of the pass had collapsed onto Highway 20.
Accordingly, many large rocks spilled out about 1.5m of the road surface in the direction of traffic from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City. Fortunately, the landslide did not injure anyone.
After the landslide, the Madaguoi Traffic Police Station under the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police was present to arrange forces to coordinate with the People's Committee of Dai Lao commune to regulate and direct traffic to ensure traffic safety.
On the other hand, the Traffic Police force also coordinated with Road Management Area IV.1 to deploy measures to overcome landslides.

To ensure the safety of people and vehicles traveling through the pass, authorities have placed warning signs from a distance as a signal for vehicle drivers to recognize.
According to actual records, the Bao Loc Pass area is still experiencing heavy rain. Therefore, this area always has the potential risk of landslides occurring at any time.
Bao Loc Pass is about 10km long, part of National Highway 20. This is a vital route connecting Da Lat (Lam Dong) with Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces. In addition to the small road surface and many sharp turns, Bao Loc Pass is also at risk of landslides during the rainy season every year.
In March 2024, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a document requesting the Vietnam Road Administration to promptly deploy investment and handle landslides on National Highway 20 and Bao Loc Pass to ensure safety for vehicles traveling during the rainy season of 2024.
