The latest storm and low pressure bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on February 11 said that 2 low pressures may form near the Philippines on Valentine's Day (February 14).
PAGASA weather forecasters say that the first low pressure area may form near the south of Palawan, Philippines until February 15.
Immediately after that, another low pressure area may form in eastern Mindanao and may approach this area.
The possibility of these 2 low pressures developing into tropical storms is low, according to forecasters.
Currently, no low pressure area is being monitored for the possibility of tropical storm formation inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Experts warn that residents of Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon and North Samar are expected to record rainfall from 50mm to 100mm lasting until noon on February 12 due to the impact of wind shear.
The northeast monsoon and gusts of wind are forecast to continue to cause rain and strong gusts of wind for other areas of Luzon and Visayas.
