The weather forecast bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on February 16 said that 3 weather systems including wind shear, northeast monsoon and easterly wind will continue to cause rain across the Philippines.
According to PAGASA forecasting experts, scattered rain with localized thunderstorms are forecast in Cagayan and Isabela provinces due to wind shear.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is forecast to bring light rain to Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
The forecast easterly wind will cause scattered rain and thunderstorms in Aurora and Quezon, and localized showers in Metro Manila and many other areas across the Philippines.
The Philippine weather forecast agency also warned of the risk of flooding and landslides in areas affected by gusts of wind and east wind.
According to PAGASA, no low pressure areas or tropical storms have been recorded in and near the Philippine forecast area.
