Independent meteorologist Wu Der-rong said that actual temperatures may drop further than the CWA forecast.
Based on the European model, the early morning temperature in northern Taiwan (China) could drop to around 12 degrees Celsius on December 6 and 7, with the measuring station in Taipei possibly only around 15 degrees Celsius.
Wu Der-rong also said that a low pressure is likely to strengthen into a storm in the eastern Philippines this weekend. Current forecasts show the system moving west into the South China Sea.
