Speaking before Parliament, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf affirmed that Iranian forces are closely monitoring all military movements of the enemy. He emphasized: If there are any actions beyond the "red line", the entire important infrastructure of the US-backed country will become an "unlimited" attack target.
This statement was made in the context of many reports that the US is preparing for a large-scale campaign targeting the island of Kharg - Iran's key oil export center located in the northern Persian Gulf. This island processes up to 90% of Tehran's oil exports, which is likened to the "energy heart" of the Iranian economy.
Western sources say the Pentagon is considering deploying about 2,000 elite US airborne troops to the area.
This move raises concerns about the possibility of a ground campaign targeting Iran's strategic energy base - a scenario that could shock the entire global oil market.
In parallel with military signals, the White House has also increased diplomatic pressure. US President Donald Trump warned Washington is ready to "burst hell" on Iran if no agreement is reached.
Western media previously reported that the US is seeking to promote a month-long ceasefire mechanism, along with a 15-point proposal to end the conflict.
However, Iran completely denied this information. Tehran believes that the current negotiations are "illogical", and emphasized that they only accept a long-term solution instead of temporary agreements - which are accused of leading to "backstabbings".
Not only denying negotiations, Mr. Ghalibaf also called the information about US-Iran dialogue "fake news", saying that it was released to manipulate the financial and oil markets in the context of volatile energy prices.
Meanwhile, the US military campaign is being declared by Washington to be taking place "as planned or ahead of schedule", although the ultimate goal has not been fully clarified.
President Trump declared that the US had "won", and said that delaying attacks on Iranian power plants for 5 days was to create opportunities for diplomacy. However, this statement continued to be rejected by Tehran.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also warned that the conflict between the US, Israel and Iran is getting out of control, with the risk of pushing the world into a larger crisis, not only in security but also in economy.
