Israel declares interception of 2 objects flying from Lebanon

Israel-Lebanon border tensions continue as efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement between the parties still face many obstacles.

The Israeli military said on June 7 that it had intercepted 2 objects flying from Lebanon into its territory after sirens rang in the Yiftah and Ramot Naftali areas.

According to the Israeli military's announcement, 2 flying objects were successfully intercepted after entering the country's airspace from Lebanon. The information was released in the context of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah forces that has not yet ended.

Hezbollah has rejected proposals to link the ceasefire with the disarmament of this force. The armed group in Lebanon believes that Israel must end the attacks and withdraw troops from southern Lebanon before it can take further steps.

Iran also considers a ceasefire between its Hezbollah ally and Israel in Lebanon as a condition for any peace agreement with the US.

Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon continue. Israel said these attacks targeted Hezbollah members and infrastructure.
