Attending the opening ceremony were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (NVNONN) Nguyen Trung Kien and 100 delegates who are key leaders and officials of Vietnamese associations from 17 countries and territories around the world.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang warmly welcomed overseas Vietnamese delegates returning home to attend the training course, especially in the atmosphere of the whole country joyfully waiting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
The Deputy Minister shared some aspects of the country's situation and the community situation, NVNONNN association, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions to the country of the community of more than 6 million Vietnamese people living, studying and working in over 130 countries and territories around the world.
The Deputy Minister said that this is the first time the State Committee on NVNON and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have organized a training course for leaders of NVNON associations to improve union work, equipping delegates with necessary skills.
The Deputy Minister hopes that participating in the training course will not only help delegates gain knowledge and skills in association activities but also be an opportunity to exchange and share experiences to be applied in association work and hopes that the NVNONN community will become stronger and more united, always looking towards their homeland and country.

On behalf of the delegates, Mr. Dao Tuan Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam People's Association in Korea and Chairman of the Vietnam Business Association in Korea, shared his thoughts, expressed his joy and honor to attend the training course, thereby the delegates received information about the country's situation and the situation of associations in the world, and learned more knowledge in community and association activities.
Mr. Tuan pledged to try to convey information, realize the knowledge gained in the association work and hoped to have more training sessions in the coming time.
The training course for NVNONN 2025 union leaders will take place from August 28-31, 2025. The delegates were provided with basic information on the domestic situation and our foreign policies, the community situation and NVNONNN associations, training some necessary skills for union leaders, communication skills and practicing some practical situations.
Delegates also listened to a seminar on Vietnamese culture, attended a conference to disseminate laws to NVNONN.
