Air Canada said its plane took a strong tour of the wing with a LOT Polish Airlines, Poland plane at Pearson International Airport, Toronto on the evening of August 5. According to CTV News, the incident occurred at around 10:20 p.m.
The collision occurred while the Polish plane was on the runway while the Air Canada plane was heading towards a nearby landing gate, Peter Fitzpatrick, a spokesperson for Air Canada, told AFP.
It is known that Air Canada's Boeing 767-300 carrying 286 passengers from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic landed at Toronto airport. According to Air Canada, no passengers were injured.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
Chris Krepski, a spokesman for the Transport Safety Agency of Canada, told CBC that preliminary information showed that the Air Canada plane crashed strongly into the Polish Boeing 787 aircraft preparing to take off. After the collision, a passenger flight to Warsaw by LOT Polish Airlines was canceled.
Last month, an Air Canada Airbus A320 also had a problem at San Francisco International Airport in California, USA.
