Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in an Israeli attack on the morning of February 28, US President Donald Trump said.
In a post on the social network Truth, Mr. Trump called Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei "one of the most evil people in history".
He cannot avoid our high-tech intelligence and tracking systems. Closely coordinating with Israel, there is nothing that he, as well as other leaders who may have been destroyed with him, can do to escape that outcome" - Mr. Trump emphasized.
The US leader said he had heard information that many members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), "the army and other security and police forces, no longer want to fight, and are seeking our immunity".
Hopefully the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Police will peacefully unite with Iranian patriots and work together as a bloc to bring the country back to the great period they deserve" - the US President declared.
He added, "intense and targeted bombings will continue non-stop throughout this week or as long as it is necessary to achieve peace in the Middle East and around the world.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was presented with evidence that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the joint attacks of Israel and the United States on Tehran, according to Israel's N12.
The report said that Mr. Netanyahu and Israeli security agency leaders watched photos of Mr. Khamenei's body.
Israeli public television Kan also reported that Khamenei's body had been found.
Meanwhile, Aljazeera reported that Iran denied information about the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iranian semi-official media said he remained "steadfast" in commanding the battlefield.
