According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in January 2026, 63.4% of workers in the Capital wanted a salary of 5-10 million VND/month.

On January 26, representatives of the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that, based on surveys and information collection of 3,429 job seekers of the center, it shows that: The desired salary level of workers is mainly from 5-10 million VND/month, accounting for 63.4%; from 10-20 million VND/month, accounting for 20%; salary level over 20 million VND/month accounts for 2%.

Workers looking for jobs mainly focus on the age group from 35-45, accounting for 55.9%; from 25-34 years old, accounting for 37.3%; age group from 15-24 years old, accounting for 4.7%.

The professional and technical qualifications of job seekers are mainly concentrated in the untrained group, accounting for 43.2% (down 8.8% compared to December 2025) focusing on jobs such as part-time, seasonal such as cargo handling workers, garbage workers, sales staff, delivery staff... Next is university degree or higher accounting for 27% (up 8.6% compared to December 2025).

The characteristics of job seekers in January 2026 show high compatibility with the recruitment trend of businesses near Tet. The dominance of the untrained labor group and the widespread income expectation in the 5-10 million VND/month segment clearly reflect the psychology of taking advantage of looking for seasonal and part-time jobs to increase short-term income.

In January 2026, the Hanoi Employment Service Center organized 21 job transaction sessions, including: 20 daily job transaction sessions, 1 thematic job transaction session for compulsory police officers. There were 702 units participating in recruitment with a total of 12,938 recruitment and enrollment targets. There were 4,006 workers interviewed at job transaction sessions; 1,501 workers received applications and recruited through job transaction sessions.
