The US military announced on July 30 that it had completed a "heavy air strike wave" targeting Iran.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that US forces have successfully completed a large-scale air strike, hitting dozens of targets of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including military command posts, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense locations, and Iran's maritime capabilities.

US airstrikes began at 8:00 PM on July 29, ET time (7:00 AM on July 30, Hanoi time) and ended at 10:00 PM on the same day, ET time (9:00 AM on July 30, Hanoi time).

Also according to CENTCOM, more than 50,000 US troops are currently deployed in the Middle East and are still "in high alert, focused, effective and ready".

Iranian state news agency IRNA reported that many locations in the southwestern province of Khuzestan and Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf were attacked. Areas around the cities of Abadan, Shadegan, Arvandkenar and Ahvaz were all airstriked.

Washington's latest airstrike lasted to respond to Tehran's missile launch into US bases in Jordan.

Before the airstrike, US President Donald Trump announced on July 29 that he would strongly retaliate against Iran. He also said that he had been reported about a US-owned liquefied natural gas tanker being attacked by drones at an Egyptian port.

The Jordanian army announced the interception of 5 Iranian missiles after the IRGC announced it had targeted US bases in Jordan on July 29.

As long as the threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran continue, the resistance forces will continue to fight" - IRGC declared.

Previously, Saudi Arabia and the United States announced airstrikes on bases of armed groups in Iraq on July 29. Saudi Arabia said that for 2 consecutive days, its crude oil facilities were attacked by drones. Riyadh accused Iraqi armed groups linked to Tehran of being behind the incidents.

Meanwhile, Israel accused Iranian-backed Hezbollah forces in Lebanon of violating the ceasefire. Israel accused Hezbollah of deploying drones targeting an Israeli vehicle inside Lebanese territory at night, calling it a "blatant violation of the ceasefire".
