This year's Victory Day parade in Moscow's Red Square will mark 80 years since the Soviet victory over Germany in World War II. This important event is expected to be attended by leaders and delegations from 29 countries, including Vietnam, according to information from the Russian presidential assistance - Mr. Yury Ushakov.
Among the world leaders who confirmed their attendance were General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Venezuelan President Nicolas Putin, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously announced that General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, will pay an official visit to Russia and attend the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
According to the Russian presidential helped, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also confirmed that he will visit Moscow despite a warning from Brussels that this could affect Serbia's ambition to join the European Union. Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Sinisa Mali also confirmed that Mr. Vucic will attend despite having recently experienced some health problems.
