RT reported that on February 25, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that European Union (EU) member states have a tough stance in supporting Ukraine in its disadvantage in participating in the peace negotiations.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the EU has lost its right to participate in resolving the conflict by continuously promoting dividing views on Ukraine.
This not only damages the bloc's relations with the international community but also shows that the EU has entered deeper into the path of mediarization.
The statement came after the United Nations General Assembly received two draft resolutions related to Ukraine on February 24, marking three years of conflict between Moscow and Kiev. One of them, sponsored by Ukraine and EU countries, condemns Russia.
Moscow criticized the document for repeating baseless allegations, selectively citing the UN Charter to create an ultimatum against Russia, while ignoring the root cause of the conflict.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the resolution aims to increase support for Ukraine's peace plan, which is largely based on demands that Russia has repeatedly rejected.
The ministry also stressed that the document received a record low number of votes in favor at the United Nations General Assembly, with more than half of its members not on Kiev's side.
The resolution was supported by 93 countries, opposed by 18 countries, and voted by 65 countries, while the remaining members of the organization, including 193 countries, did not participate in the vote.

Meanwhile, another US-made resolution initially did not hold Russia accountable and did not mention Ukraine's territorial sovereignty. The document only calls for a rapid end to the conflict and promotes a long-term peace between Ukraine and Russia.
However, Russia insists that the US resolution has been over-amended by the EU, turning the document into a document of confrontation with Moscow.
The initial spirit of the initiative was distorted to the point that even the US itself could not support its document, the Russian statement said.
At the Security Council, the US resolution was passed with 10 votes in favor, including Russia, and 5 white votes. European countries' efforts to delay the meeting have been unsuccessful.
Moscow said that these actions go against the wishes of the international community. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the majority of countries want to contribute to a quick resolution of the conflict, and the warm stance of EU countries could push them into isolation.
The EU and some member states have increased their tough voices after Moscow and Washington announced plans to restore relations and seek solutions to the conflict in Ukraine.
Also on February 24, the EU continued to impose a 16th package of sanctions on Russia, notably expanding the ban on flights in EU airspace for foreign airlines if they conduct domestic flights in Russia or provide aviation equipment to Moscow.
