Mr. Do Huu Huy was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province

Mr. Do Huu Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

At noon on February 26, the People's Council of Binh Thuan province, term XI, held its 32nd session (special session) to carry out personnel work under its authority. At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council read the proposal for consideration so that the delegates could elect Deputy Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee Do Huu Huy as Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province.

The delegates secretly voted to elect and as a result, Mr. Do Huu Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee. The draft Resolution confirming the election results of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province for the 2021-2026 term was approved and voted in favor by delegates.

Speaking on receiving the assignment, Mr. Do Huu Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, promised to work with the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to promote the tradition of solidarity, innovation, creativity, overcome challenges, effectively overcome limitations, clear "bottlenecks", effectively exploit potential and advantages to promote the development of the green - fast and sustainable Binh Thuan province.

Also at the meeting, delegates voted to dismiss Mr. Doan Anh Dung from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province for the 2021-2026 term due to being transferred by competent authorities to work and hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee.

Earlier in the morning of the same day, the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Central Party Secretariat deciding to transfer, rotate, and appoint Mr. Do Huu Huy, Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and introduce him to be elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province for the 2021-2026 term.
