On February 26, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued Document No. 1351 on reviewing and suspending the implementation of works and projects in the process of implementing the plan to innovate and reorganize the administrative apparatus in the spirit of Conclusion No. 126-KL/TW dated February 14, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
In the above document, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An requested agencies, organizations, units and localities to review and temporarily suspend the implementation of new investment projects and works, repair, renovate and upgrade the working headquarters of agencies, organizations and units under the management of district-level administrative units, ensuring thrift practice and combating waste.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee assigns departments, branches and related units according to their assigned functions and tasks to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction, the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial State Treasury and related units to monitor, inspect, supervise the implementation of agencies, units and localities and promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee in the implementation process to ensure efficiency.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, Do Luong District Party Committee has temporarily suspended the project worth more than 70 billion VND, including works to renovate and upgrade the headquarters and related items. This is one of the first moves to implement the policy of budget saving and streamlining the administrative apparatus.
