On July 28, President Donald Trump warned of the possibility of a new attack on Iranian nuclear facilities that the US bombed last month.
Mr Trump raised the issue during talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at his turnberry resort on the west coast of Scotland.
Trump said Iran had been sending "unpleasant signals" and any attempt to restart Tehran's nuclear program would be immediately extinguished.
"We have erased all their nuclear capabilities. They can start over, but if they do, we will erase them again so quickly that they don't have time to react," Trump said.
Iran insists it will not abandon its domestic uranium enrichment after the US attacks nuclear facilities.
On July 28, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that actions by the US and Israel against the country would lead to a strong backlash.
Last month, the US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities that Washington accused of being part of Tehran's nuclear weapons development program. Iran insists its nuclear program is purely for civilian purposes.
