Meanwhile, in the UK, activists of the Stricken the War Coalition (STWC) held a protest outside Prime Minister Theresa May's palace, calling on her not to join the US-led alliance to attack Syria.
The protests presented a letter signed by a number of politicians, celebrities, scholars and union members saying that "military intervention by Donald Trump, Theresa May or Emmanuel Macron is not a solution".
According to STWC campaigners, foreign military intervention, including the UK, only aggravates and prolongs the Syrian conflict.
In Greece, Greek police said about 6,000-7,000 people marched in the center of the capital during a parade organized by the Communist Party of Greece, in protest of US-led joint attacks on Syria.
