Australian TV channel 9News reporter Lauren Tomasi was shot in the foot while reporting live on the protest in central Los Angeles.

This channel's video recorded Tomasi holding a microphone and reporting that a police officer behind suddenly raised a gun and fired a rubber bullet at her foot from close range.

Tomasi immediately complained of pain and hugged her leg while she and the cameraman quickly left the police fence.

The incident occurred on June 8, as the US police and National Guard were deployed to control a protest against the activities of squeezing immigrants.

The protest movement began on June 6 with a few hundred participants and quickly spread to thousands of people pouring into the streets. protests blocked a major highway, burned self-driving cars and many other items, causing chaos and tension in the city center.
