According to VNA, within the framework of the official visit to the UK with General Secretary To Lam, his wife Ngo Phuong Ly visited the London children's hospital, one of the leading modern and prestigious medical facilities in the UK.
At the hospital, Dr. Owen Miller, Deputy Director in charge of expertise, along with Dr. Simon Filson and Dr. Florian Bast, introduced an overview of the history, operations and cooperative relationship between Evelina London and Vietnamese hospitals in the field of surgery and medical training.
After listening to the introduction, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly visited the cardiovascular boarding area for pediatric patients, kindly asking about and giving gifts to children being treated at the hospital.
The wife emphasized that health care is always an area of concern to the whole society, because it is directly linked to the quality of life, especially the health care of children and preschools, and preschools need to be loved and protected with all their dedication.
Appreciating the humanistic value of EVERina London's health care model, wife Ngo Phuong Ly was moved to know that over the years, the hospital's doctors and nurses have participated in health cooperation programs in Vietnam, directly examining, consulting and performing surgery for Vietnamese children.
Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly shared: "It is the golden hands and kind hearts of the doctors that have lit up hope, bringing a second life to many Vietnamese children who are unfortunately sick".
The wife believes that helping children have a "normal life and a brighter future" is not only a medical achievement, but also a vivid testament to humanity and the connection between the heart and the heart, overcoming all language and national boundaries.
