According to the Russian Russian Northern fleet press agency, the Severodvinsk multi-purpose nuclear attack attack ship has successfully test launched a kalibr cruise missile.
"The crew has conducted underwater combat exercises in the training area of the Northern fleet in the Barent Sea. The missile was launched from the Chizh test site in the Arkhangelsk area," the unit said in a statement.
The distance from the missile launch site from the Severodvinsk Submarine to the target is about 600 km. According to the Navy, the flight path and technical specifications of the kalibr missile launched from a Submarine in the recent test meet the requirements.
The K-560 Severodvinsk is a Yasen-class Submarine of the Russian Navy. The construction of the tunnel began in 1993 and was first put into operation on June 15, 2010.
