Turkey launches concrete super bomb 3 times stronger than US standards

Turkey has recently successfully tested two super bombs with great destructive power, including GAZAP particle thermal bombs and NEB-2 Ghost concrete transformer bombs.

GAZAP is a 907kg pressure bomb developed by the Research and Development Center of the Turkish Ministry of Defense. First introduced at the IDEF 2025 defense exhibition in Istanbul, this type of bomb stands out for its ability to break down debris and increase destructive power.

Turkish officials said that GAZAP created 3 times more pieces of shrap compared to previous versions, and confirmed that the bomb had passed inspection procedures and was ready for use in combat.

Meanwhile, the NEB-2 Ghost, also weighs about 900kg, designed to destroy reinforced concrete structures. This type of bomb is confirmed by Turkish officials to be the most powerful boong-ke bomb.

The official added: US-made bombs regularly cut through 2.5 meters of C35 concrete. The NEB-2 can penetrate 7m of C50 concrete, which is about 3 times harder.

The power of the NEB-2 has been proven in an experiment, when the bomb was dropped on an island, it not only created a hole up to 90m deep but also caused landslides, gas leakage and rock collapse in a 160m wide area.

Observers said that the 90m penetration depth showed that the test took place on soft soil, not solid rocks.

Not stopping there, Turkey has also introduced a new ballistic missile called TAYFUN Block-4. This type of missile is produced by Roketsan company, weighs about 7.3 tons, is about 10m long, has a diameter of 610mm and has a range of up to 1,000km.
