The pilot program "Safe Landing Campaign" to prevent driving after drinking alcohol may be implemented for passengers at Aberdeen International Airport.
Accordingly, the police plan to check the alcohol concentration of some passengers driving away from Aberdeen International Airport, as part of a pilot program to prevent driving after drinking alcohol in tourists.
"Safe Landing Campaign" is a joint initiative between the border police and traffic police, and if effective, the program could be expanded to other areas.
Passengers who drink alcohol on the flight are advised to proactively arrange a safe means of transportation from the airport to their destination.
Police will increase their presence at the airport, approach and chat with passengers who have just left the plane, conduct checks on the roadside and measure alcohol concentration if necessary.
