The US-made F-16 fighter jet had an accident and crashed into the ground during a drill, killing the pilot on the spot.

On August 28, a Polish Air Force F-16 fighter crashed during a drill for an air performance in Radom, central Poland, and the pilot was killed.

Speaking on social network X, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak- Kamysz expressed his condolences for the pilot who died in the recent incident. Meanwhile, according to the General Command of the Polish Armed Forces, the accident involved a plane from the 31st tactical Air Force Station near Poznan and no residents were injured.

"Rescue operations were immediately deployed at the scene," the Command's official dispatch on the incident said.

However, up to now, the media or Polish officials have not provided any information about the cause of the incident.

Local media reported that the plane crashed into the runway at around 5:30 p.m. (local time) and was completely damaged. Accordingly, the Radom Aviation show scheduled for the weekend has also been canceled.
