German court tries Vingroup case against Le Trung Khoa

On November 4, a court in Berlin, Germany held a trial of the Vingroup/VinFast case against Le Trung Khoa for defamation and slander.

The trial was conducted under emergency procedures, after Vingroup/VinFast of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong sued Le Trung Khoa for false statements and slander against these two enterprises for "giving bribes".

Previously, Vingroup Corporation conducted a civil lawsuit, reported to the authorities and sent documents to the Embassies about 68 domestic and foreign organizations and individuals reporting false information about the corporation on the Internet.

68 organizations and individuals were sued and reported as account holders of information pages and personal pages with distorted behavior and false information about Vingroup; fabricated about the Group Chairman - Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong and a number of other senior leaders of the group on social networking platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, YouTube...

The false information focuses on 4 main topics, including the corporate financial situation; product quality and origin; product legality issues and personal information of leaders.

According to Vietnamese law, the above acts violated the provisions of the 2018 Law on Cyber Security and the 2015 Penal Code and the civil rights of related organizations and individuals. On the international level, the dissemination of false information, infringing on the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals are also severely punished by civilized countries.

Less than 24 hours after Vingroup announced the lawsuit against 68 domestic and foreign organizations and individuals who posted false information about the group on the Internet, more than 50 channels/ portals on social networks proactively removed fabricated and distorted clips and content. Among them, some are on the list of 68 subjects being sued by Vingroup.
