A Ukrainian UAV ( drones) fell into a commercial center in Grozny, the capital of the Chechnya Republic under the Russian Federation, according to local media.
Images circulating on social media showed that the attack blew up a large piece of glass in a high-rise building, leaving many black spots as if it had caused a fire when colliding.
On the morning of December 5 (local time), many Russian media outlets posted a video of a 14m high building in the city center with broken glass doors and a fire breaking out in part of the structure.
Local authorities have not commented and have not yet provided information about casualties. However, a source from the Russian law enforcement agency said the attack was carried out with Ukrainian UAVs.
Earlier on the same day, the Russian air traffic police imposed temporary restrictions at Grozny airport.
According to public data, this complex is where the reception office of the United Russia Party, the Audit Office and a number of state agencies and private enterprises is located.
The complex is located less than 1km from the mansion of Mr. Ramzan Kadyrov - the head of the Chechnya Republic.
Also on December 5, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 41 Ukrainian UAVs at night across the country.
Ukrainian forces have recently regularly conducted UAV strikes deep into Russian territory, targeting critical infrastructure and civilian buildings. Moscow called the attacks "terrorist attacks".
